Africazine:

Isuzu Motors South Africa is raising the bar for vehicle ownership with an extended service plan.

The company has announced that the standard service plan for its Model Year 2026 D-MAX and MU-X ranges will now last six years instead of five, while maintaining a limit of 90,000km. This change applies to all MY26 models sold from 1 May 2026.

Isuzu Enhances Service Plan for D-MAX and MU-X

The new service plan extension is designed to provide customers with longer access to scheduled servicing. This is particularly beneficial for those who drive less annually and may not reach the distance limit within the original five-year timeframe. The additional year of coverage comes at no extra cost.

Chris Jonk, After Sales Executive at Isuzu Motors South Africa, emphasized that this extension aims to boost customer confidence throughout their ownership experience. It also reinforces Isuzu’s reputation for durability and long-term support.

South Africa’s Competitive Vehicle Market

The bakkie and large SUV segments in South Africa are highly competitive. After-sales support is increasingly becoming a critical factor for buyers when making their purchasing decisions. By extending the service plan to six years, Isuzu enhances its ownership package, making the D-MAX and MU-X more appealing to potential customers.

Next Steps for Isuzu Customers

  • New service plan effective from 1 May 2026.
  • Available for both private and business customers.
  • Future model years will also include the extended service plan.

Isuzu’s extended service plan sets a new standard in vehicle ownership support.
