Africa is urged to shift from raw material exports to deeper industrial integration.
The Pan-African Manufacturers Association (PAMA) has called on African governments to prioritize refining and component manufacturing. This comes after Zimbabwe’s first export of lithium sulphate by Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt, marking a significant step in the continent’s industrialization journey.

Segun Ajayi-Kadir, Secretary General of PAMA, emphasized the importance of local processing of lithium.
