Morocco is making strides in renewable energy with a new solar initiative.

Aradei Capital and LabelVie have launched a solar energy program to integrate photovoltaic systems into their real estate portfolio. The first phase is underway at nine sites, utilizing approximately 25,000 square meters of rooftop space, with an installed capacity of 5 MWp expected to be operational by 2026.

Morocco’s Solar Energy Initiative Gains Momentum

The solar energy program marks a significant step in Morocco’s national energy transition strategies. By targeting nearly 60 assets across the country, the initiative aims for a total capacity of around 20 MWp. This expansion reflects a growing commitment to renewable energy and sustainability.

Both companies involved anticipate that the project will significantly reduce CO₂ emissions and enhance energy efficiency. They are also exploring additional solutions, such as photovoltaic shading structures in parking areas and energy storage systems, to further bolster their sustainability efforts.
