South Africa’s Easter Travel Operational Plan Unveiled

The Border Management Authority (BMA) has announced its operational strategy for the Easter festive season. This initiative is crucial as it coincides with one of the busiest travel periods in South Africa. The plan emphasizes a balance between enforcement and the ease of travel, ensuring that legitimate travel, tourism, and trade are supported.

BMA spokesperson Mmemme Mogotsi highlighted the commitment to robust border law enforcement while facilitating smooth travel experiences. The operational plan is backed by various structures within the national security cluster, including inter-ministerial committees and joint operational bodies at both national and provincial levels.
