Namibia Revenue Agency Allocates N2.6 Million in Procurement Awards

The Namibia Revenue Agency’s procurement spending highlights the dominance of multinational companies in the local market.

During the 2024/25 financial year, the Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA) allocated N2.6 million on goods and services. This spending reflects a significant distribution of contracts, with multinational companies receiving the largest share.

NamRA’s Procurement Spending Breakdown

NamRA’s procurement data reveals that multinational companies were awarded over N8.2 million through four major contracts. In contrast, local large companies secured N.1 million across 374 contracts, showcasing a robust participation from domestic firms.

Small and medium-sized enterprises also played a role, receiving N.7 million through 312 awards. Public entities were allocated N.83 million from 61 transactions, indicating a diverse range of suppliers involved in the procurement process.

Regional Distribution of Contracts in Namibia

Central Namibia emerged as the leading region, accounting for N2 million across 588 awards, the highest in both value and number of contracts. This concentration of spending underscores the region’s importance in NamRA’s procurement strategy.

Other regions received smaller allocations, with Eastern Namibia getting N.8 million, Western Namibia N.94 million, Northern Namibia N.87 million, and Southern Namibia N.77 million. North-eastern Namibia received just under N million, while East-central Namibia recorded the lowest share at N7,420 from one contract.
