Moroccan students in Spain now have expanded access to educational opportunities through a new scholarship initiative.
The Embassy of Morocco in Spain has launched the third edition of its scholarship program, offering 214 scholarships for the 2026-2027 academic year. This initiative aims to empower Moroccan nationals residing in Spain by providing access to high-quality education across various fields.
New Scholarship Program for Moroccan Nationals
The scholarship program, developed in collaboration with Planeta Formacion y Universidades, is designed to support Moroccan professionals and young individuals. Applications opened on April 22 and will close on July 5. Students can choose from over 140 programs in ten different fields, including vocational training, bachelor’s, continuing education, and doctoral studies.
Scholarships are available in three categories, covering 100%, 75%, or 50% of tuition fees. While tuition costs are covered, applicants should be aware that enrollment and administrative fees may still apply. The selection process is based on academic qualifications, with priority given to those who register first if records are equivalent.
Expanding Educational Opportunities
This year’s program marks a significant increase from the previous edition, which offered 241 scholarships across 126 programs. The growth reflects a commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for Moroccan students and positioning Morocco as a regional hub for training, especially for African nations.
Ambassador Karima Benyaich emphasized the importance of education for the future success of Moroccan youth. She also announced an additional 300 scholarships for students in Morocco, further demonstrating the initiative’s commitment to educational empowerment.
Future Plans and Developments
- Applications for the scholarship program will be accepted until July 5.
- Plans to initiate new educational projects in Morocco are underway.
- Investment in modern educational infrastructure will continue in collaboration with Moroccan authorities.
These scholarships represent a vital step in strengthening the educational landscape for Moroccan students in Spain.
