“Thunder Code Secures M to Transform the Future of AI-Driven Software Testing!”

Thunder Code Founders: Jihed Othmani (CTO) and Karim Jouini (CEO)

Big news is buzzing in the tech world! Thunder Code, an innovative software testing platform at the forefront of artificial intelligence, has just raised an impressive million in seed funding. Operating primarily out of Tunisia and France, Thunder Code is set to take the software testing industry by storm, and this funding is crucial for their ambitions. With their newly acquired capital, they aim to supercharge product development, enhance their AI infrastructure, and broaden their global reach. This is undoubtedly a significant step for tech startups in North Africa and beyond!

Funding Details

This funding round was spearheaded by the renowned global venture capital firm, Silicon Badia. Not only did they lead the charge, but they were also joined by other notable investors such as Janngo Capital, Titan Seed Fund, and a cadre of strategic angel investors, including the impressive Roxanne Varza, the director of the iconic Station F, along with experts like Quentin de Metz and Guillaume Amblard. Their collective support showcases the growing interest in African tech ecosystems and underscores the potential of companies like Thunder Code to revolutionize the industry.

Thunder Code plans to utilize this funding to bolster its product innovation, establish international partnerships, and integrate innovative features geared toward creating seamless Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) experiences and AI-generated test plans. This aligns perfectly with the increasing demand for efficient and intelligent testing solutions across various industries.

Founded in 2025 by the dynamic duo, Karim Jouini and Jihed Othmani, Thunder Code has effectively democratized automated testing. Their platform enables even non-technical users to easily create and run automated tests, greatly reducing the technical barrier traditionally present in software testing. With their web-based model, powered by AI agents that autonomously comprehend applications, execute tests, and pinpoint bugs, Thunder Code is truly redefining quality assurance.

“Our platform isn’t just improving quality assurance—it’s completely redefining it,” expressed Karim Jouini, the visionary CEO. “By allowing teams to create and run tests using natural language alongside our advanced AI capabilities, we’re setting a new industry standard for speed and intelligence in Quality Assurance (QA).”

The platform’s features are impressive, including self-healing test scripts, real-time debugging, and automated test execution. According to Thunder Code, their technology can slash testing times by an astounding 90% while simultaneously expanding test coverage, making it an invaluable tool in today’s fast-paced software development environment.

Second-Time Founders

But this isn’t the founders’ first rodeo. Before Thunder Code, Jouini and Othmani were at the helm of Expensya, a cloud-based expense management platform celebrated for having secured a spot on Forbes Middle East’s Top 50 Most Funded Startups list in 2022, raising an impressive .6 million. After its acquisition by Swedish fintech giant Medius in 2023 for a staggering nine-figure sum, the duo’s expertise and vision continue to shine in the tech arena.

The success of Thunder Code is not just a personal victory for its founders; it is a testament to the burgeoning potential of Africa’s tech landscape. Investors are increasingly recognizing that the continent is a breeding ground for innovative solutions and talent. With the right support, who knows how high Thunder Code and similar startups can soar?

Stay tuned for more exciting developments from Thunder Code and the evolving tech scene in Africa!
