“Win a Dream 3-Bedroom Home with Africell’s Exciting Jubilee Jombo Promotion!”

In an exciting move for the telecommunications and housing sectors in Sierra Leone, Africell Sierra Leone and Taf Salone have joined forces to launch the much-anticipated Jubilee Jombo Promotion. This event took place on April 23, 2025, at the vibrant Taf Salone Micro City in Tokeh and showcased a shared vision for transformative innovation and community development, aptly highlighting both companies’ commitment to enhancing the lives of Sierra Leoneans.

The centerpiece of the Jubilee Jombo Promotion is a remarkable opportunity for subscribers: a chance to win a fully furnished three-bedroom flat. This grand prize aligns perfectly with the campaign’s theme of converting loyalty into life-changing opportunities. Alongside the stellar grand prize, participants can also vie for exciting daily and weekly rewards such as cash, smartphones, mini-generators, and motorcycles, popularly known as Okadas.

Participation is straightforward—subscribers simply need to recharge their phones with a minimum of NLe 25 to enter. For users of Afrimoney, the stakes are even higher, as recharging via the *161# code will double their chances of winning.

During the launch event, Africell Sierra Leone’s CEO, Shadi Gerjawi, emphasized that the Jubilee Jombo Promotion marks more than just a promotional campaign; it was a celebration of Africell’s 20th anniversary in Sierra Leone and 25 years of service across the African continent. “This initiative is our heartfelt thank you to every Sierra Leonean who has journeyed with us, and we hope it shows our appreciation for their unwavering support,” he remarked.

Anita Sey, General Manager at Taf Salone, echoed this sentiment, expressing optimism about how this partnership is geared towards providing people with the hope of home ownership. “This collaboration isn’t just about business; it’s about empowering lives,” Sey stated. Her company aims to construct one million homes across Africa, and this partnership with Africell is a step toward that ambitious goal.

In alignment with the digital evolution of everyday life, Martinson Obeng-Agyei, CEO of Afrimoney, highlighted how basic human needs have expanded to include connectivity. “The internet today is a necessity, essential for education, communication, and commerce,” he explained, reinforcing the idea that using Afrimoney can pave the way for financial freedom and even the possibility of becoming a homeowner for many.

The Jubilee Jombo Promotion will feature daily draws airing from Monday to Friday at 6:30 PM on AYV TV, AfriRadio 105.3 FM, on Africell’s Facebook page, and across several major radio stations nationwide, ensuring that all participants are kept in the loop about the winners.

Both Africell and Taf Salone are not only celebrating their own milestones—25 years of Africell in Africa and 35 years of Taf Africa Global—but are also recognizing the collective progress of Sierra Leonean communities. This initiative stands as a testament to their commitment to gratitude, growth, and empowerment in shaping the future of Sierra Leone.

This monumental partnership marks an exciting chapter in Sierra Leone’s journey towards connectivity and community development. It showcases how innovative strategies can foster economic growth while highlighting the bright future that lies ahead for the youth and aspiring homeowners in the region.
