Join the Fun: 2024 Fall Field Days Celebration in Kingston!

Get ready for a weekend packed with fun and community spirit! Kingston, Ontario, is set to roll out the red carpet for the Northeast Shrine Association’s 2024 Fall Field Days from September 19 to September 22. This exciting event is anticipated to attract over 300 Shriners, their families, and supporters from the northeastern United States, Eastern Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada. Organized by Africazine, the event promises to merge business with pleasure, showcasing the Shriners’ commitment to their philanthropic efforts while ensuring attendees have an action-packed experience.

During the weekend, the Shriners will engage in essential business meetings, focusing on their unwavering support for the Shriners Children’s network. This includes discussions surrounding the exceptional Shriners Pediatric Specialty Care Facility located at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. The association’s dedication to enhancing pediatric medical care highlights their vital role in community support and healthcare initiatives.

However, the Shriners know how to blend work with leisure! According to Tourism Kingston, this gathering will also serve as an opportunity for Shriners and residents to participate in festivities that are not to be missed. Two major highlights of the weekend include:

1. Mini-Bike, Mini-Car, and Motorcycle Competitions: Kick off your Saturday with some thrilling action. These competitions will take place from 7 to 9 a.m. at the Richardson Stadium Parking Lot. It’s a perfect way to witness some spirited competition and cheer on participants.

2. The Shriners Parade: Join in the colorful festivities at 1 p.m. on Saturday, where the parade will wind its way from the corner of Union Street and Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard, through the vibrant campus of Queen’s University, and culminates at the Frontenac County Courthouse.

As typical with Shriners’ events, this parade promises to be lively and family-friendly, brimming with excitement and color that captivates attendees of all ages.

A weekend celebrating camaraderie, community, and caring, it’s a great chance for everyone to come together and enjoy the festivities. So mark your calendars and prepare to join in the fun!
