Eritrea celebrates academic excellence with a recognition ceremony for outstanding students.
On September 13, Al-Dia’e Junior and Secondary School and Awate Elementary and Junior School honored students for their exceptional performance in the national examinations for the 2025/2026 academic year. At Al-Dia’e School, 11 students scored above 90 points in the eighth-grade examination, while 17 students achieved GPAs between 3.0 and 4.0 in the national school leaving examination.

The recognition ceremony took place at Al-Dia’e School in the Akria sub-zone. Mr. Sahle Abraham, the director of Al-Dia’e School, highlighted the significance of these achievements, stating that they inspire other students to excel. At Awate Elementary and Junior School, students who scored above 90 points in the eighth-grade examination were similarly honored.
Students received medals and certificates, with a special award going to a female student who achieved an impressive score of 99.6 points. This recognition serves to motivate both students and educators in their academic pursuits.
