Prospect Resources’ Mumbezhi copper project advances in exploration drilling phase

Zambia’s copper exploration is advancing steadily, signaling potential growth in the mining sector.

Prospect Resources is on track with its Phase 3 exploration programme at the Mumbezhi copper project. According to MD and CEO Sam Hosack, approximately 20% of the planned diamond drilling and 35% of the budgeted aircore drilling have been completed.

The exploration programme focuses on the Nyungu Central deposit, a key area for copper mining. So far, ten resource extension holes have been completed, with visible copper mineralisation found in several holes beyond the current defined mineral resources. This development could enhance the project’s viability and attract further investment.
