Africazine:

Petrogulf has achieved a significant production milestone, marking its highest output since 1982.

The company has ramped up production from its Gulf of Suez fields to around 26,600 barrels per day, a notable increase from approximately 17,000 barrels per day during the 2025/2026 fiscal year. This surge of nearly 10,000 barrels per day within five months is attributed to an accelerated operational plan.

Petrogulf’s Production Surge Explained

The recent increase in production is largely due to the new well, North Geisum North-16, which has contributed around 4,000 barrels per day. Additionally, an intensive maintenance program across existing wells has added approximately 6,750 barrels per day. This strategic approach is aimed at maximizing output from existing assets.

Petrogulf operates as a subsidiary of the South Valley Egyptian Petroleum Holding Company. It functions as an investment partnership that includes the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, along with private partners Pico and Kufpec.
