The vibrant Carnival 2026 is set to dazzle Malta this weekend.
Events kick off in Ħamrun and Victoria, Gozo, featuring a Carnival by Night on Saturday and a bands’ parade on Sunday morning. The festivities promise illuminated floats and lively performances, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Malta.
Exciting Events Planned for Carnival 2026
The Carnival by Night in Ħamrun starts at 6pm on Saturday, featuring several floats illuminated for the occasion. On Sunday, the bands’ parade begins at 10am, showcasing Hamrun’s three bands along with small floats and dance shows. These events are organized by Hamrun Council, Festivals Malta, and the Culture Ministry.
In Victoria, a carnival parade will take place on Saturday at 7.30pm, with additional events scheduled for the following weekend. The Gozo Ministry highlighted that for five days, Gozo will transform into a vibrant celebration of art and traditions, culminating in the spontaneous carnival in Nadur the following Saturday.
