The picturesque 6-kilometre route meandered through the breathtaking landscapes of the Garden Route, which is renowned for its lush forests, diverse wildlife, and stunning views. Participants united in a sea of vibrant colors, some wearing outfits emblazoned with messages of hope and courage. SANParks’ spokesperson, JP Louw, eloquently captured the essence of the event when he emphasized that the journey symbolized resilience and collective strength. “Together, we are not just walking; we are creating a pathway of hope and awareness,” Louw remarked.

This annual walk is more than just a communal event; it serves as a crucial informative platform, enlightening participants and the public about the reality of cancer. Rising awareness can lead to better understanding and ultimately drive preventive measures that can save lives. Cancer remains a significant health challenge across the globe, making such initiatives vital for fostering community support and solidarity.

The Garden Route National Park is not only a beautiful venue for this walk but is also known for its eco-tourism appeal, drawing visitors from around the world to experience its pristine environments.
