This initiative covers 69% of its manufacturing sites, showcasing the company’s commitment to sustainability. The recent switch in South Africa marks a significant milestone in its global operations.

In Poland, a €1.7 million investment at the Pilawa site replaced gas boilers with heat pumps, contributing to the company’s 2030 Scope 1 ambition. This site also hosts AkzoNobel’s largest solar energy plant in Europe, operational since 2024, featuring 3,551 solar panels.
