Porsche has unveiled the 911 GT3 S/C, a groundbreaking convertible set to make waves in South Africa.
This marks the first time the revered “GT3” badge has been applied to a 911 with a fully automatic cabriolet roof. The 911 GT3 S/C features a powerful 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six engine, producing 375 kW and 450 N.m of torque, and is priced from R6 138 000 in South Africa.

The Porsche 911 GT3 S/C is based on the current 992.2-generation 911 GT3. It boasts a rear-wheel drivetrain and a six-speed manual gearbox, delivering exhilarating performance. Despite being slightly heavier than its coupé counterpart at 1 497 kg, it accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.
The vehicle’s top speed reaches an impressive 313 km/h, showcasing Porsche’s engineering prowess. The 911 GT3 S/C also features advanced stopping power through Porsche’s Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system, ensuring safety and performance.
Performance Features of the 911 GT3 S/C
The 911 GT3 S/C is equipped with a lightweight automatic cabriolet roof that opens or closes in approximately 12 seconds, even at speeds of up to 50 km/h. Additionally, it includes a wind deflector that deploys in just two seconds at speeds of up to 120 km/h, enhancing the driving experience.
With 20-inch front and 21-inch rear magnesium alloy wheels, the car is fitted with high-performance tyres, ensuring optimal grip and handling on the road.
