This Saturday, May 10, Laerskool Louis Trichardt will transform into a hub of excitement and athleticism as it gears up to host one of the highly anticipated PEP Mini Netball Festivals. This special event, part of a national series organized in collaboration with South African Schools Netball (SASN), aims to introduce young girls between the ages of 8 and 10 to the exhilarating world of netball.

Why is this festival so significant, you may wonder? The PEP Mini Netball Festivals are designed not just to promote the sport but to foster vital skills among young players right from the start. By engaging with netball at an early age, girls can learn the fundamentals of the game, develop teamwork skills, and build confidence in a supportive environment. These festivals lay a fantastic foundation for future athletes, ensuring a bright future for netball in South Africa.

On Saturday, the action will kick off at 08:30 and is expected to run until 13:30, giving spectators a full morning of entertaining netball matches to cheer on. With a total of 40 festivals scheduled nationwide, each event is a standalone celebration of sport, drawing communities together through the love of netball. At Laerskool Louis Trichardt, each team will participate in four thrilling games, making for an action-packed day everyone can enjoy.

Parents and supporters are warmly invited to come along and support the teams. You may bring your unbranded gazebos for shelter and comfort, but there’s fantastic news—there are no entrance fees!
