In a significant step towards a greener future, Trinasolar has teamed up with AMEA Power to introduce a groundbreaking energy storage solution for the formidable Abydos Solar PV Project located in Aswan, Egypt. This ambitious initiative isn’t just the largest solar photovoltaic (PV) project on the African continent; it also marks a notable first by incorporating a utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Solution (BESS) into its infrastructure.
With an impressive capacity of 300MWh, Trinasolar’s cutting-edge Elementa 2 platform will play a pivotal role in stabilizing the energy supply generated from the substantial 500MW Abydos Solar PV power plant. This plant is currently operational in the Kom Ombo region of Aswan Governorate, illustrating Egypt’s unwavering commitment to enhancing its clean energy capabilities.
