“Exciting Leadership Transition: New Non-Executive Chairman Joins Predator Oil & Gas”

Predator Oil & Gas Holdings Appoints Dr. Stephen Boldy as New Non-Executive Chairman

In a significant move that could potentially steer the future of the company, Predator Oil & Gas Holdings Plc (PRD), the Jersey-based oil and gas enterprise known for its strategic hydrocarbon operations in Morocco and Trinidad, has officially announced Dr. Stephen Boldy as its new Non-Executive Chairman, effective immediately. This appointment marks an exciting chapter not only for Predator but also for the broader energy sector in Africa and beyond.

Dr. Boldy brings to the board an impressive wealth of expertise, boasting over 40 years in the petroleum industry. Currently the CEO of Lansdowne Oil & Gas, his academic credentials include a B.Sc. in Geology, an M.Sc. in Sedimentology, and a Ph.D. This extensive background positions him as a leader capable of guiding the company’s exploration efforts with precision and insight. His previous roles include significant tenures with the Petroleum Affairs Division of the Department of Energy in Dublin, as well as nearly two decades at Amerada Hess Corporation, where he played a vital role as U.K. Exploration Manager among other senior positions.

An important note in Dr. Boldy’s career was his tenure as Vice President at Ramco Energy, followed by spearheading Lansdowne Oil and Gas’s flotation in 2006. His leadership capabilities were further underscored during his presidency of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB) in 2004, where he helped to advance industry standards and practices.

Paul Griffiths, CEO of Predator, expressed his enthusiasm about Dr. Boldy’s appointment, stating, “I would like to welcome Stephen to the Board and am pleased we have a board which is independent and which has the requisite financial, technical and geological experience.” This independence and wealth of knowledge may well lead to new opportunities and advances in Predator’s ongoing projects in Morocco and Trinidad, which are seen as pivotal regions for hydrocarbon exploration.

This leadership change comes amid a growing interest in sustainable energy resources and exploration in Africa, a continent rich in natural resources yet striving for innovations that balance development with environmental stewardship. As the world turns its attention toward renewable energy, established companies like Predator Oil & Gas are integrating strategic expertise with forward-thinking initiatives in the oil and gas sector.

With Dr. Boldy’s appointment, the future looks promising for Predator Oil & Gas Holdings and its commitment to advancing hydrocarbon operations in a manner that is responsible and beneficial to the communities involved.
