Black Girls Garden – PRWire

The founder of Black Girls Garden, LLC.,  Pandora Pearson, grew up in southeastern North Carolina and has always found gardening to be fun and so relaxing.  She stands on the shoulders of greatness in the field of gardening.  Her paternal grandfather was a gardener by profession.  Her parents and grandparents had  beautiful gardens, fruit, and pecan trees throughout her life.  Her maternal grandparents were farmers by profession, as well.  She is married and has two adult children.  When they were young, she would have them grow a pepper and tomato plant each year.  She wanted them to know where the  vegetables in the grocery store come from.   In 2020, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, she decided to start a Facebook group for  women to share pictures of the vegetables and flowers they were growing while staying at home.  This community has grown beyond the United States to over 80,000 members residing in various locations throughout the world.

Pandora believes that edible gardening is a way for us to eat cleaner and healthier.  While floral gardening is a means of beautifying our homes and the world around us.  There’s so may women who say they would like to garden.  But, they have no clue about how to do it.  In addition, there may be those who already  garden, but they may need help in dealing with pesky insects, problems with soil composition for certain plants, and so on.  Through the Black Girls Garden group, tips, information, and encouragement are shared to help our sisters out.  Their gardens may be a multi-acre spread or a few pots on the porch.  But, everyone can share, grow, and find joy in gardening.

The products sold on the website can be used while gardening relaxing, or worn while out and about to represent the brand and let the world know that Black Girls Garden.  The proceeds from the sale of products and all donations help to continue the goals and mission of Black Girls Garden, To Educate, Empower, and Encourage our Community of Black Women to Garden.
