World of Love Festival 2024: A Vibrant Celebration of Community and Culture
Mark your calendars! The much-anticipated World of Love Festival is set to return to the Kings Park Fairground in Boscombe on the 7th and 8th of June 2024. Founded six years ago by local entrepreneur Bea Sieradzka, this lively festival has blossomed from a heartfelt tribute to her son’s multicultural background into a vibrant celebration of diversity, uniting communities across the south-west of England.
Sieradzka’s inspiration for the festival stems from her desire to raise her son with a profound appreciation for both his Polish heritage and the culture of the UK, where he was born. “I wanted him to grow up proud of who he is,” she shares passionately. The festival embodies her vision of creating a space where children and adults alike can learn to respect and celebrate one another’s backgrounds.
“This isn’t about ‘us’ and ‘them.’ It’s about taking a moment to really see one another,” Sieradzka explains, inviting everyone to join in this celebration which aims to reinforce community bonds. The festival serves as a mirror reflecting the beauty of togetherness and connection among diverse cultures.
Attendees can expect a kaleidoscope of activities and performances that represent local and international traditions. With thrilling acts such as Simb, the lion of Senegal, and Indian Dhol drummers lighting up the stage alongside English and Irish folk bands, the festival promises a musical experience unlike any other. For families seeking hands-on activities, there will be dance and yoga workshops, as well as craft and food stalls featuring authentic delicacies from around the globe—an absolute treat for the senses!
The festival kicks off at noon on Saturday, running until 9 PM, and resumes on Sunday from noon until 5 PM. It’s also family-friendly, with children under 15 enjoying free entry and adult tickets starting at just £5.50, making it an affordable day out for all.
