Exciting news for young entrepreneurs in Morocco! The Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, through its innovative Silatech programme, has just launched the Youth Opportunity II project, marking a significant step forward in economic empowerment across the region. This initiative, developed in partnership with Al-Amana Microfinance, aims to unlock the potential of young entrepreneurs by providing them with essential microfinance services, financial literacy training, and comprehensive entrepreneurial support.

Building on the formidable success of its predecessor, Youth Opportunity I, which successfully empowered over 134,000 young individuals with self-employment opportunities, Youth Opportunity II is set to make an even greater impact. By specifically addressing barriers to financial inclusion, particularly for underserved youth and women in remote areas, this initiative is wholeheartedly invested in uplifting the economic landscape in Morocco.

The ambitious targets of Youth Opportunity II include empowering more than 180,000 young entrepreneurs while creating 70,000 additional job opportunities within micro enterprises. Notably, a commendable 40% of these opportunities are earmarked for young women, further promoting gender equality and expanding women’s participation in the economy.

“Continuing our partnership with Al-Amana Microfinance allows us to broaden our reach and deepen our impact in Morocco. We’re providing young entrepreneurs with not just financial support, but the necessary tools and resources to thrive,” expressed Hassan Al-Mulla, executive director of the Silatech Programme. This commitment is fundamental in fostering a vibrant ecosystem where young business leaders can spearhead sustainable development in their communities.

Adding to the enthusiasm, Youssef Bencheqroun, general manager of Al-Amana Microfinance, highlighted the transformative effect of financial inclusion. “This collaboration with the EAA Foundation is pivotal in breaking down financial barriers for thousands of young entrepreneurs, allowing them to launch and expand their businesses. Investing in our youth today translates to creating robust employment opportunities and reinforcing Morocco’s economic resilience.”

In a world where access to financial services remains a pressing challenge, Youth Opportunity II exemplifies the EAA Foundation’s unwavering dedication to fostering change through education, economic empowerment, and sustainable development. By equipping young entrepreneurs with critical financial and business skills, this initiative aims to catalyze long-term economic growth and significant social impact throughout Morocco.

Stay tuned for more updates on this remarkable initiative, as it embarks on its journey to empower the next generation of business leaders in Africa!
