Innovative Virtual Classroom Debuts to Transform Technician Training Across Asia!

Gallagher Security is making waves in Asia with its innovative launch of the new cloud-based training solution, Virtual Classroom, designed specifically for technicians. This exciting development is set to revolutionize training opportunities and accessibility in the region, promising to enhance learning experiences while reducing wait times.

Danielle Mitchell, the Training Manager for APAC & IMEA at Gallagher, elaborated on the advantages of this cutting-edge training format. “Gallagher Virtual Classroom allows our training team to maintain the convenience and affordability that our Channel Partners have enjoyed through Online Training, while fostering greater engagement with technicians during courses,” she shared. The new solution not only provides hands-on product experience but also allows participants to tap into the expertise of trainers from the comfort of their own homes or workplaces anywhere in Asia.

Joining a Virtual Classroom session is a breeze. Attendees simply receive a link to access a web-based Command Centre platform offering virtual hardware. The courses utilize Microsoft Teams, enabling seamless interaction between trainers and participants. This method eliminates the logistics challenges associated with shipping training kits, significantly reducing turnaround times between courses and enhancing the overall availability of training sessions.

Mitchell expressed her confidence in this cutting-edge platform, stating, “I believe that what we have created is as effective, if not more so, than traditional classroom training. The Virtual Classroom cloud-based platform allows our team to identify where attendees may be struggling or excelling, without disrupting the flow of the course.”

Initially rolled out in Australia and Papua New Guinea in 2023, the concept has proven to be a resounding success, with a notable 43% increase in the number of courses offered and over 300 technicians reaping the benefits. The Virtual Classroom is set to be utilized for all Access Technician and Access Engineer courses across Asia this year, further demonstrating Gallagher’s commitment to elevating training standards in the region.

Scott Bell, Training Solutions Lead at Gallagher, is enthusiastic about the growth potential within Asia. “We’re thrilled to see Asia embrace the Virtual Classroom. We have ambitious goals to provide outstanding learning experiences and will introduce exciting updates to our platform later this year. These updates promise to enhance user experience and accessibility, making it easier for learners to engage with our training content,” he explained.

Joe Fan, Regional Marketing Manager, echoed this sentiment, calling the Virtual Classroom initiative a “game-changing development.” He emphasized the importance of scaling quality training to accommodate candidates throughout Asia, which is particularly crucial given the rise of remote work.

As Gallagher embarks on this transformative journey with its Virtual Classroom in Asia, the company is poised to expand its reach while staying attuned to the evolving needs of its partners and clients. This strategic move not only underscores Gallagher’s commitment to innovation but also highlights the growing importance of flexibility and accessibility in today’s training landscape.

Stay tuned to Africazine for the latest updates on Gallagher’s Virtual Classroom and how it continues to shape training across the continent and beyond.
