South Africa’s opponent for the Round of 16 at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast has been confirmed after Group F wrapped up its final games on Wednesday evening.
Bafana Bafana finished second in Group E ahead of Namibia and Tunisia but conceded first place in the group to the Eagles of Mali.
After Morocco’s win over Zambia and DR Congo’s draw against Tanzania, the decision has been made as to who South Africa will face in the next Round.

The 1996 AFCON winners will face the Atlas Lions of Morocco in the Round 16 of the tournament after the 2022 FIFA World Cup semifinalist finished top of Group F.
