Support for President Bola Tinubu is ramping up in Lagos as key political figures set ambitious voting goals.
Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro, former Speaker Adeyemi Ikuforiji, and Fola Tinubu have declared a target of three million votes for Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 presidential election. This announcement was made during the inauguration of the Fola Tinubu Support Group in Ikeja, with backing from All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders.
Three Million Votes Target for Tinubu
The campaign aims to secure three million votes for President Tinubu in Lagos. Obanikoro emphasized the importance of unity and grassroots mobilization across the 20 local government areas and 37 local council development areas in the state. He called on party leaders and members to prepare for the elections and ensure they possess their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
Ikuforiji highlighted the need for increased voter participation, noting that only 28 percent of registered voters participated in the last election despite Lagos having over six million registered voters. He believes that if half of these voters turn out, the target of three million votes is achievable.

Fola Tinubu outlined plans for grassroots mobilization across the South West, including rallies in Ogun, Ekiti, and Oyo states.
