The Local Governance and Resilient Communities Project is making strides in Cameroon’s decentralization efforts.
On August 31, 2026, in Yaounde, PROLOG and the National School of Local Administration signed a collaboration agreement worth nearly 850 million FCFA. This partnership aims to enhance effective decentralization by training nearly 2,000 local officials across six regions, focusing on critical operational areas.
Training Local Officials for Effective Governance
The PROLOG initiative targets local officials in the Far North, North, Adamawa, East, North-West, and South-West regions. Participants will engage in specialized training programs designed to improve municipal financial governance, human resource management, and civil status registry operations.
