Twenty Spanish teachers from Côte d’Ivoire are set to enhance their language skills through an immersive training program in Spain.
The teachers from Côte d’Ivoire’s Ministry of National Education, Literacy and Technical Education completed a two-week program, which included 40 hours of intensive training. They engaged in various academic and cultural activities aimed at improving their Spanish proficiency and teaching methods.
Intensive Language Training in Spain
The training program focused on strengthening the teachers’ Spanish language proficiency and pedagogical skills. Participants engaged in lessons on Spanish gastronomy, history, and geography, alongside practical teaching exercises conducted in front of students.
Incorporating modern elements, the program also included training in artificial intelligence, ensuring that teachers are equipped with contemporary teaching tools. Sporting activities were part of the curriculum to foster group engagement and cohesion.
Cultural Immersion Experience
A significant aspect of the program was the immersion experience in Spanish families in Salamanca. This opportunity allowed teachers to experience Spanish culture firsthand, promoting cultural exchange and interaction.
The combination of classroom learning and practical exposure aimed to enhance the teachers’ communication abilities and pedagogical approaches, preparing them for effective teaching back in Côte d’Ivoire.
