The Zimbabwe National Family Planning Council is enhancing access to contraceptive services in Masvingo.
For two days, the ZNFPC will provide free insertion and removal of Intra-Uterine Contraceptive Devices (IUCDs) at its Static Clinic. This initiative aims to promote long-term family planning methods among women in the community.
Free Family Planning Services in Masvingo
The Zimbabwe National Family Planning Council (ZNFPC) is set to offer free services for the insertion and removal of Copper T IUCDs at its Masvingo Static Clinic. This program will run from 8am to 4.30pm, allowing women to access a reliable long-term contraceptive method without any cost.
Beautrice Hlilokela, the marketing and communications officer for ZNFPC Masvingo, emphasized the efficiency and reliability of the Copper T as a long-term family planning solution. She encouraged women to take advantage of this opportunity to improve their reproductive health.

The Copper T is a hormone-free device that offers long-term pregnancy prevention. Women can have it removed at any time they choose to discontinue its use. This initiative reflects ZNFPC’s ongoing commitment to improving access to family planning services in Zimbabwe.
