Accra Metropolitan Assembly Distributes 997 Desks to Public Schools

Nearly 1,000 pupils in Accra are set to benefit from new school desks aimed at enhancing their learning environment.

The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has distributed 997 desks to eight public schools in the Accra Metropolis. This initiative addresses furniture shortages and aims to improve teaching and learning conditions in public basic schools.

Accra’s Schools Receive New Desks for Improved Learning

The desks, which include mono, dual, and hexagonal models, were procured through the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF). This effort specifically targets schools in the Okaikoi South, Ashiedu Keteke, and Ablekuma South sub-metropolitan districts.

Beneficiary schools include Bubiashie, Kaneshie, Ussher, Ga Mashie, Aayalolo, Korle Gonno, Mamprobi, and Ojoo public schools. Each school received a varying number of desks to meet their specific needs.
