1,200 Women and Youths Empowered with Skills in Kaduna State Initiative

Over 1,200 women and youths in Kaduna State have gained vocational skills and financial support through a new empowerment initiative.

The Tinubu/Uba Sani Mobilisation Network’s Renewed Hope initiative aims to equip participants with practical skills and create livelihood opportunities. The beneficiaries completed a three-month skills acquisition program and received start-up support during a graduation ceremony.

Empowerment Initiative Transforms Lives in Kaduna

The initiative has empowered no fewer than 1,200 women and youths in Igabi Local Government Area. Participants were trained in eight vocational fields, including catering, home farming, and computer operations. They also received financial assistance to establish small businesses.

Former Sole Administrator of Igabi Local Government Area, Jafar Murtala Sabo, highlighted the significance of ongoing federal infrastructure projects in the state, which complement the empowerment efforts. These projects are expected to enhance socio-economic development across Kaduna State.

Community Leaders Support the Initiative

Hon. Abdulmuninu Aminu Zaria, Chairman of the Network, emphasized the commitment to creating sustainable economic opportunities. He praised Governor Uba Sani for his leadership and developmental initiatives in Kaduna State.

Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Social Investment Programmes, Hajiya Falmata Abacha, noted that the initiative strengthens poverty reduction efforts through skills development and financial inclusion.
