Gabon is gearing up for a vibrant celebration of its independence.

With just two months to go, the Comité National des Fêtes de l’Indépendance (CNFI) is intensifying preparations for the festivities. Under President Pascal Yama Lendoye, the committee is holding two weekly meetings to ensure progress and coordination among various sub-committees.

Innovative Plans for Gabon’s Independence Day

This year’s celebrations promise to be more dynamic, featuring a cultural parade and sports activities. New structural frameworks are being established to enhance the event’s organization and outreach. The CNFI aims to elevate the festivities to both national and international prominence.

Healthcare is also a priority, with the sub-committee on Health, led by Professor Jean Felix Ngomas Moukady, presenting a comprehensive medical coverage plan. This includes advanced medical posts staffed with teams and a mobile unit equipped with ambulances for immediate interventions during the celebrations.

Security Measures for a Successful Event

Colonel Nadège Flore Koumba Boussougou, vice-president of the Security sub-committee, assured that all teams are fully mobilized. Their focus is on ensuring the safety and success of this significant republican event. The collaborative efforts across sub-committees reflect a commitment to a seamless celebration.
