Shukri Aya Achieves Highest Score in Marrakech-Safi Baccalaureate Exams

Morocco’s education system showcases remarkable achievements in national exams.

Shukri Aya, a student from ‘Shaheed Saleh Serghini’ secondary school, scored 19.53, the highest in the Marrakech-Safi region for the 2026 National Unified Baccalaureate Examination. This year, 33,718 candidates passed, resulting in a success rate of 68.91% among school candidates, with female candidates achieving 72.43%.

Outstanding Achievements in Baccalaureate Exams

This year’s National Unified Baccalaureate Examination results reflect a significant accomplishment for Moroccan students. Shukri Aya’s score of 19.53 not only highlights her individual dedication but also underscores the quality of education in the Marrakech-Safi region. The overall success rate of 68.91% indicates a strong performance among candidates from both public and private institutions.

Among the successful candidates, female students excelled with a success rate of 72.43%. This achievement is a testament to the efforts made in promoting gender equality in education. Additionally, 2,288 candidates from the independent category passed, achieving a success rate of 37.49%.

Success Rates by Educational Streams

The distribution of success rates across different educational streams reveals diverse accomplishments. In scientific, technical, and vocational fields, 21,233 candidates passed, achieving a success rate of 64.21%. In contrast, the literary and traditional education categories saw 12,485 candidates succeed, with a commendable success rate of 78.71%.

Moreover, 19,153 students graduated with distinctions, representing approximately 56.80% of successful candidates. This includes 2,713 students rated as ‘very good’, 5,656 as ‘good’, and 10,784 as ‘acceptable’. These figures highlight the varying levels of academic excellence achieved across the board.

Upcoming Supplementary Examination Sessions

  • 17,867 candidates will participate in supplementary examinations on July 2, 3, and 4, 2026.
  • Results from the supplementary sessions are expected to be announced on July 11, 2026.
