The city inaugurated its first line of the High-Level Bus Service (BHNS) in May 2026. This project, co-financed by the French Development Agency, aims to enhance urban mobility in the Souss region.
Agadir’s Urban Mobility Revolution
The Amalway TRAMBUS project is a significant milestone for Agadir, driven by a partnership among various local and national stakeholders. This initiative is part of a broader Urban Development Program (PDU) focused on improving public transportation.
Led by Agadir Mobilité, the project includes the establishment of 35 modern stations and a state-of-the-art maintenance facility. It connects key areas, including the port of Agadir and the Tikiouine neighborhood, ensuring efficient travel for residents and visitors alike.
Key Features of the Amalway TRAMBUS
The TRAMBUS is designed to meet international quality standards, featuring dedicated lanes for regular and frequent service. Enhanced safety measures, including video surveillance, ensure a secure travel experience.
Modern, air-conditioned vehicles are accessible for individuals with reduced mobility. The project also integrates a real-time passenger information system and electronic ticketing, streamlining the user experience.
