The Federal Government’s ambitious railway project is advancing steadily across its two major corridors. Key milestones have been recorded along the 104-kilometre Kano–Jigawa corridor, with construction activities including piling and substructure works for several bridges reaching advanced stages.

Superstructure installations are also ongoing at multiple locations, indicating a robust pace of development. The project is fully funded under the Renewed Hope Infrastructure Scheme of President Bola Tinubu.

Construction teams are currently focused on overcoming challenges posed by difficult terrain and waterways. The ongoing bridge works are crucial for ensuring the railway’s structural integrity and operational efficiency.

As the project progresses, the Federal Ministry of Transportation is closely monitoring developments to ensure timely completion. The inspection by the Presidential Media Team highlights the government’s commitment to infrastructure development in the North-West region.
