Africazine:

Ho Chi Minh City is set to transform its administrative landscape with a new central city square and administrative center.

The project, developed under a public-private partnership model, will be constructed between 2026 and 2028. It will utilize approximately 22.136 trillion VND from land resources and about 7.455 trillion VND from the city’s budget.

New Administrative Center to Enhance Efficiency

The new complex will accommodate around 8,000 officials, civil servants, and employees, addressing current overcrowding in scattered facilities. This centralization aims to streamline the city’s organizational apparatus and improve state management effectiveness.

Designed to handle daily traffic of 1,500 to 2,000 citizens and business representatives, the center will feature a unified one-stop-shop administrative service system. This initiative is expected to enhance public administrative services by making procedures more accessible and efficient.

Investment and Funding Structure

The funding for the project will blend land assets with the municipal budget. Specifically, 22.136 trillion VND will come from land resources, while 7.455 trillion VND will be drawn directly from the city’s budget. This financial strategy highlights the city’s commitment to modernizing its administrative framework.

Future Steps for Ho Chi Minh City’s Development

  • Construction will begin in 2026 and is expected to conclude in 2028.
  • The project aims to centralize operations for improved public service delivery.
  • Current office buildings will be repurposed for public and urban service uses.

Ho Chi Minh City is taking significant steps to enhance its administrative efficiency and public service delivery.
