On April 6, 2026, in Nouakchott, Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Mr. Mohamedou Ahmedou Mhaimid, met with a delegation from the French Development Agency (AFD). They discussed the progress of the ASARIGG project, aimed at improving food security by developing irrigation in the wilayas of Gorgol and Guidimagha, with technical support from the National Rural Development Company (SONADER).
