An official ceremony on 2 April 2026 marked the completion of this significant project, funded by a grant of VND 66 billion from Ho Chi Minh City. The renovation included a comprehensive upgrade of the memorial site, enhancing its historical significance and aesthetic appeal.

The ceremony was attended by key officials, including Mr. Bounchome Oubonpaseuth, Secretary of the Savannakhet Provincial Party Committee, and Ms. Daovone Xaysoulien, Deputy Secretary and Chairperson of the Savannakhet Provincial Administration Committee. The Vietnamese delegation was led by Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.
The project featured a four-metre-high statue base and three large lotus blossom sculptures made from premium white stone sourced from Nghe An, Ho Chi Minh’s birthplace. Additionally, a modern exhibition hall and administrative offices were constructed, along with improved security fencing.
