Air Europa is set to enhance travel connectivity between Spain and South Africa with its new direct flights to Johannesburg.
The airline will launch its service from Madrid to Johannesburg on 24 June, operating three flights weekly. This marks Air Europa’s inaugural scheduled service to South Africa, utilizing the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner for the route.
Air Europa’s New Route to Johannesburg
Air Europa will operate flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The flight UX157 departs Madrid at 23:45, arriving in Johannesburg at 09:50 the next day. The return flight, UX158, leaves Johannesburg at 18:55, landing in Madrid at 05:05 the following morning.
The non-stop flight duration is just over 10 hours, providing a convenient option for travelers.
Significance of the New Flights
This new service is strategically timed to coincide with the peak safari season in South Africa, attracting Spanish tourists eager for game viewing. The winter months in South Africa offer optimal wildlife sightings, making it an appealing destination for adventure seekers.
