Namibia is on the brink of a digital education revolution.
The Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture is finalizing a nationwide digital infrastructure rollout, aiming for completion by the end of the 2026/27 financial year. This initiative includes establishing computer laboratories in six schools per region across all 14 regions and providing high-speed internet connectivity to 300 schools nationwide.

The digital infrastructure rollout began last year, with foundational work to modernize classrooms initiated during the 2025/26 financial year. Education Minister Sanet Steenkamp highlighted the importance of completing these technology installations to meet the rising demand for digital learning tools.
