Marble Hospitality Unveils Luxurious Five-Star Hotel Experience!

Share

In an exciting development for luxury travel enthusiasts, Marble Hospitality is set to elevate the hospitality scene in South Africa with the announcement of their newest venture: a five-star hotel nestled within the prestigious Olympus Sandton complex. This intimate, 32-room hotel will debut on two select floors of Tower 2, right beneath the lavish penthouses, offering guests a touch of exclusivity paired with stunning city views.

Marble’s founder and partner, Gary Kyriacou, shared his vision for this project, calling it a natural progression rather than a shift away from their core offerings. “This hotel reflects our vision of redefining luxury accommodation in South Africa,” he emphasizes. “It carries the same attention to detail, creativity, and experiential focus that has shaped our food, beverage, and entertainment offerings. In many ways, it’s the next chapter of the Marble story,” he added.

Since launching Marble Restaurant in Rosebank in 2016, the brand has steadily built a reputation synonymous with elegance and personality. Their expanding portfolio now includes Marble at the V&A Waterfront, the trendy Italian restaurant Saint, the opulent Zioux lounge in Sandton, and The Pantry by Marble—revolutionizing the concept of convenience dining. The new Marble Circus event initiative has further reinforced their commitment to hospitality that not only serves but captivates.

The Marble Collection Hotel marks a strategic collaboration with Tricolt Group, the visionary developers behind Olympus Sandton. Together, they have curated a hotel experience that echoes Marble Hospitality’s ethos of crafted luxury, thoughtful service, and immersive design. Although the ownership is a joint venture, the day-to-day operations will be spearheaded by the seasoned Marble Hospitality team.

Olympus Sandton is more than just a hotel destination; it represents one of Johannesburg’s most ambitious residential projects, combining architecture with sustainability. Developed by Growthpoint Properties and Tricolt, Olympus features two striking residential towers, offering 536 contemporary apartments that include everything from chic executive suites to lavish penthouses. Designed by top firms ClarkeHopkinsClarke and dhk Architects, the project is aiming for a coveted four-star Green Star rating—an indication of its commitment to eco-friendly construction.

With over R1.2 billion in sales already recorded, construction is set to kick off in November 2025, with an eye on completion by the end of 2027. The Marble Collection Hotel is poised to be the flagship establishment in a future series of luxury hotels under the Marble umbrella. Guided by the creative vision of Irene Kyriacou and acclaimed designer Tristan du Plessis, the hotel’s interiors will meld sophistication with a welcoming ambiance.

Operations Director Dino Constantinou summed it up beautifully: “We’ve always believed that hotels represent the pinnacle of hospitality. Once you arrive at a hotel, you’ve truly arrived.” As Marble Hospitality embarks on this exciting journey, it is clear that they are committed to reshaping luxury accommodation in South Africa, one unique experience at a time.
