Namibia’s agricultural education landscape is set for transformation with a new leadership appointment.
The Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) has appointed Dr. Venaune Hepute as the Head of its Agricultural Campus. Dr. Hepute brings over 16 years of diverse experience in academia, research, and project management, enhancing the university’s commitment to agricultural excellence.
Dr. Hepute’s Extensive Experience in Agriculture
Dr. Hepute’s career includes significant roles at the Namibian Agronomic Board and the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry. His academic contributions as a Lecturer in Soil Science at NUST further solidify his expertise in the field. He holds a PhD and a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Agriculture from the University of the Free State in South Africa, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Management from NUST.
Currently, Dr. Hepute is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Change Management at NUST, showcasing his commitment to continuous learning and leadership development.
