The Vodacom Bulls are making significant moves ahead of the 2023 season with key player signings.
Curwin Bosch, a notable returnee from France, headlines the Bulls’ recruitment efforts. The team is set to lose several experienced players but has added promising talents to strengthen their backline.
Curwin Bosch Returns to Vodacom Bulls
The Vodacom Bulls have confirmed the signing of Curwin Bosch, who previously played for the Sharks and represented South Africa. Bosch is currently with Brive in France and is expected to fill the gap left by Johan Goosen’s retirement.
In addition to Bosch, the Bulls have signed Thaakir Abrahams from Munster and 19-year-old Luan Gilomee, who has experience in URC rugby and has represented the Springbok Sevens this year. These additions aim to enhance the team’s backline depth.
Strategic Recruitment for the Upcoming Season
The Bulls are also welcoming Junior Bok and Shark fullback Hakeem Kunene, along with Griquas flyer Dylan Maart and Pumas outside centre Sango Xamlashe. These players will join the team after the Currie Cup concludes.
Up front, Mawande Mdanda, a 132kg tighthead prop from the Sharks, will replace Wilco Louw. Former Junior Bok and Harlequins captain Hanro Liebenberg is also returning to bolster the Bulls’ pack.
