Isuzu Motors South Africa has unveiled its updated MU-X, enhancing performance and safety features for the 2026 model year.

The new MU-X features a refined 1,9-litre turbo-diesel engine, delivering 110 kW and 350 Nm, alongside a 3,0-litre engine maintaining 140 kW and 450 Nm. Pricing ranges from R752 300 to R1 026 800, with both engines paired to a six-speed automatic transmission.

The 2026 Isuzu MU-X introduces significant upgrades, particularly in engine performance and driver assistance technology. The 1,9-litre turbo-diesel engine now offers smoother power delivery and improved fuel efficiency, while the 3,0-litre engine remains unchanged.

New features include Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, which adjusts speed to maintain safe distances, and Traffic Sign Recognition, enhancing driver awareness. All models now come equipped with Headlamp Welcome Lights, improving convenience when unlocking the vehicle.

Isuzu MU-X Pricing and Features

Pricing for the updated MU-X starts at R752 300, reaching up to R1 026 800 for higher-end models. The vehicle is available in both 4×2 and 4×4 configurations, catering to various driving needs.

Standard features across all models include a nine-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ensuring connectivity for drivers. The ONYX XT variants also come with exclusive design elements, such as gloss black accents and red ambient lighting.
