The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) visited its oldest pensioner, 115-year-old Amadu Walah, in Cape Coast. This gesture celebrates Walah’s remarkable lifetime of service and highlights SSNIT’s dedication to honoring those who have contributed to national development.

The visit to Amadu Walah was led by SSNIT’s Director-General, Kwesi Afreh Biney, along with the Deputy Director-General in charge of Operations and Benefits, Adam Sulley, and other executive members. Walah expressed gratitude for the visit, emphasizing the significance of hard work and prudent living in planning for retirement.

Walah’s family, represented by Nana Kwabena Osei Agyemang, the “Asantefuo Hene” of the Ogua Traditional Area, thanked SSNIT for recognizing Walah’s contributions. He urged the Trust to manage its assets wisely to ensure the sustainability of the pension scheme for future generations.
