CMA CGM is set to raise Freight All Kind rates for shipments from Asia to the Mediterranean and North Africa.
The new rates will be effective from April 1 to April 14, 2026. This adjustment aims to enhance service reliability across these crucial trade routes.
CMA CGM Announces New Freight Rates for 2026
The updated rates for 20-foot containers include USD 4,300 for the West Mediterranean, USD 4,500 for the Adriatic, USD 4,600 for the East Mediterranean, and USD 4,600 for the Black Sea. Notably, shipments to Algeria will see a higher rate of USD 5,700.
For larger 40-foot and 40’ high cube containers, the rates are set at USD 5,700 for the West Mediterranean, USD 5,800 for the Adriatic, USD 6,000 for both the East Mediterranean and Black Sea, and USD 7,800 for Algeria.
Scope of Application for New Rates
The revised rates apply to all major Asian ports as the origin and cover various destinations in the Mediterranean and North Africa. This includes dry, reefer, out-of-gauge (OOG), and paying empty containers.
CMA CGM will implement these rates based on the loading date at the origin ports, ensuring that all shipments adhere to the new pricing structure during the specified period.
