Joburg Ballet’s 25th Anniversary Celebration
Giselle, a timeless tale of love and betrayal, marks a significant moment for Joburg Ballet. This production is directed by Angela Malan, a former South African ballerina now based in Europe. Malan collaborates with Joburg Ballet’s ballet mistress Kim Vieira and assistant producers Nicole Ferreira-Dill and Karen Beukes MacDonald, both of whom have impressive backgrounds as principal dancers with the company.
The ballet features principal dancers Tammy Higgins, Ryoko Yagyu, and Monike Cristina in the title role, alongside Revil Yon, Ivan Domiciano, and Bruno Miranda as Albrecht. Gabriella Ghiaroni and Mario Gaglione will also make their role debuts in this production.
