FCT Administration Supports Relaunch of Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme 3.0

The Federal Capital Territory is advancing economic opportunities through the GEEP 3.0 initiative.

The Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme, GEEP 3.0, has been relaunched to enhance access to affordable financing for micro-businesses in Nigeria. The initiative aims to support traders, artisans, farmers, women, and youth, fostering community resilience and reducing poverty.

The FCT Minister of State, Dr Mariya Mahmoud, emphasized the importance of GEEP 3.0 during its official unveiling in Abuja. She stated that the program aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on inclusive growth and economic empowerment for grassroots communities.

Mahmoud highlighted that the initiative is a strategic response to uplift vulnerable groups by expanding access to affordable financing. This support is expected to enhance household incomes and strengthen community resilience.

Mahmoud also welcomed the newly inaugurated Technical Working Group, which will oversee the efficient disbursement of funds and ensure accountability within the program. Participants are encouraged to use the funds responsibly and prioritize repayment to maintain the program’s sustainability.
