Discovering Fujian: A Global Influencer Journey Through China’s Cultural Heartland

From December 10th to 16th, 2025, Fujian, China, became the meeting point for 16 distinguished overseas influencers hailing from diverse countries, including the United States, Singapore, South Korea, Indonesia, Russia, and Rwanda. Organized by ICN Media, this week-long cultural exploration showcased Fujian’s rich heritage, striking landscapes, and unique traditions, truly blending the essence of both nature and culture.

The delegation embarked on an incredible itinerary through iconic locations such as Xiamen, Quanzhou, Longyan, Wuyi Mountain, Fuzhou, and Taining. Each stop offered a peek into Fujian’s five UNESCO World Heritage Sites, where history and modern life coexist harmoniously. Notably, the famous Fujian Tulou, a stunning architectural feat, left many influencers in awe as they marveled at its grandeur.

Among the participants was Singaporean influencer Yuuno, who documented her experience trying out the intangible cultural heritage of flower hairpin making in Quanzhou. Her post, highlighting this traditional craft, amassed over one million views within just 24 hours, underlining the power of social media in promoting cultural awareness. Meanwhile, African influencer Mike stood captivated before the Yongding Tulou, resonating with the sense of community and tradition encapsulated in this remarkable site.

As the group ventured into the breathtaking landscapes of Wuyi Mountain, they were treated to a dual World Heritage site renowned for its cultural significance and natural beauty. Influencer Justin drifted along the Nine-bend Stream, absorbing the soothing ambiance and indulging in the rich flavor of Wuyi rock tea. The experience fostered deeper reflections on the Eastern ideal of harmonious living within nature.

What truly astounded the influencers was the World Natural Heritage site and Global Geopark in Taining. The group cruised across the serene Golden Lake, where stunning Danxia landforms meet crystal-clear waters, offering unforgettable views. Exploring Ganlu Temple, a historical site tucked into a cliff cave dating back to the Song Dynasty, further enriched their understanding of Fujian’s unique blend of spiritual and natural heritage.

ICN Media’s initiative, Global View On China, aims to bridge international perspectives with local culture, inviting influencers and youth representatives to experience the vibrancy of various Chinese provinces. Historically, Fujian has been a melting pot of cultures, preserving its rich legacy while dynamically integrating it into contemporary life. The influencers expressed their admiration not only for the physical beauty of Fujian but also for its “living heritage,” which they felt encapsulated the spirit of this remarkable region.

In conclusion, Fujian has proven itself as a destination where tradition meets modernity, inviting travelers and content creators alike to witness the beauty of its landscapes and the warmth of its culture. As influencers share their adventures through engaging storytelling, Fujian’s stories will continue to inspire appreciation for its heritage and natural wonders worldwide.
