London Stansted Gears Up for a Thrilling Easter Holiday Rush!

London Stansted Braces for a Busy Easter Travel Season!

The excitement is palpable at London Stansted Airport as it prepares to welcome around 1.5 million passengers during the bustling Easter holiday period. A surge of travel is projected between April 5 and 21, with approximately 780,000 eager jetsetters set to depart and another 720,000 inbound travellers arriving to soak up those holiday vibes.

The Easter break perfectly aligns with the launch of Stansted’s summer flight schedule, which rolled out this past weekend. This new timetable opens up a world of adventure, featuring a multitude of destinations spanning Europe, North Africa, and beyond. Whether you’re dreaming of sun-soaked beaches or vibrant city escapes, the options are plentiful!

A noteworthy development is the introduction of 14 new routes by six leading airlines. Ryanair, Jet2, British Airways, Transavia, Air Algérie, and SunExpress are all stepping up their game, broadening the travel landscape for holidaymakers. Ryanair, known for its budget-friendly fares, kicked off its expansion in March, adding exciting destinations such as Reggio Calabria in Italy, the charming coastal town of Bodrum in Turkey, and the picturesque Linz in Austria.

This week promises even more travel options, as Ryanair expands its routes to Lübeck, Germany, Air Algérie connects to the vibrant capital of Algiers, and Transavia opens new flights to Rotterdam, Netherlands. This blend of choices is sure to cater to all types of travellers, from international globetrotters to local wanderers.

Jonathan Fowler, the airport’s chief operating officer, shared his enthusiasm: “The Easter holidays are always a busy and exciting time. Our team is fully prepared to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone, whether they’re jetting off for a beach holiday, a city break, or spending time with loved ones.” His statement resonates with the spirit of the season, emphasizing a commitment to excellent service amid the hustle and bustle.

As the travel frenzy kicks into high gear, London Stansted is positioned as a key player in catering to the needs of holidaymakers, promoting not just travel, but memorable experiences this Easter. If you’re considering a getaway, now’s the time to dive into those travel plans!
