Namibia Strengthens Immigration Infrastructure in the Zambezi Region: A Step Towards Enhanced Tourism and Service Delivery
In a promising move for Namibia’s tourism sector and regional development, Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security, Albert Kawana, recently unveiled upgraded immigration facilities in the picturesque Zambezi Region. During his visit to Impalila Island and Kasika in the Kabbe South Constituency, Kawana highlighted the government’s unwavering commitment to enhancing infrastructure, an essential pillar for national growth and prosperity.
Accompanied by Police Inspector General Joseph Shikongo, Minister Kawana inaugurated two new immigration offices—one in each location—alongside several staff housing units. Impalila Island now boasts four staff houses, while Kasika welcomes three, both equipped to facilitate the operations of immigration officials tasked with overseeing the influx of visitors to these beautiful locales.
